TEVET 2
Hanukkah 8th Night
“After this the Feast of DEDICATION [of the reconsecration of the temple]
was taking place at Jerusalem. It was winter …”
(John 10:22 AMPC, emphasis mine)
“And יהוה commanded us to do all these laws, to fear
יהוה
our Elohim, for our good always, to keep us alive, as it is today. And it is righteousness for us when we guard
to do all this command before יהוה our Elohim, as He has commanded us.’’ (Deu 6:24-24)
Thank You, Father,
that as I wait upon You, my strength is renewed like the eagles’. I lift up my eyes to the hills, for my help
comes from Yahweh, the Creator of heaven and earth. You are a very present help in the day of
trouble, and You deliver me from the
evil one. I shall stand still and see the salvation of my Elohim; You, Yahweh, will fight for me, and I
shall hold on to my shalom, my
peace. Thank You, Yah, for the armor
that I wear, for it comes from Your hands.
In You I rest, for no weapon
formed against me shall prosper, nor shall any tongue rise successfully in
judgment against me. This is my heritage
as Your servant, and my righteousness is from You.
You are my refuge and
my high tower, my shield and my buckler, my hiding place. You have promised, Abba, that when I take up permanent residence in the secret place
of the Most High, I will always be covered by the shadow of the All-Mighty, the El-Shaddai, the All Sufficient
One. I abide in the Vine, Master, for
You are the Vine. My union is with You, and in You. You cover me with
Your feathers, and under Your wings I am secure.
You keep me in
perfect shalom, perfect peace,
because my mind is stayed on You, my Sar
Shalom, my Prince of Peace. You anoint my head with oil, and my cup runs
over. I delight myself in You, for You
are the desire of my heart. You have
redeemed me, You have called me by my name, I am Yours. You are my Master, my
Creator, and to You do I yield. Your
will be done, Abba, always. I must
decrease, that You may increase. Thank
You, Yah, that You are perfecting everything which concerns me, in me, and
through me. I have set my mind on things
above, not on things of this earth, and I look to You, the Author and Finisher
of my faith. I know that You are
faithful to complete that which You have begun in me.
I give You my heart,
I give You my life, You are Yahweh my Elohim, my all. May Your will be done
first in me, as I yield myself to You,
then on earth as it is in heaven. Even
so, come quickly, my Master, my Messiah …
