Your Daily Slice

SHEVAT 11

Yielding

“Therefore, you will fully know them by their FRUITS.” (Mat 7:20 AMPC, emphasis mine)

As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual.  We progress from infant, to child, to teenager, to adult in our natural physical lives, and so it also is with our spiritual growth.  And as in our physical lives, we also need vital nutrients necessary for our growth in the things pertaining to the spirit.  When we choose to remain ‘united with the vine’ (John 15:1-8), these nutrients will be supplied.

However, for growth to follow its proper order, it will be necessary for us to progressively yield to the work of the Ruach haKodesh, the Spirit of Elohim.  The evidence of this submission will be the quality of our fruit – each one will visibly improve for others to see and inspect.  We are a people on display.  We are to be a city set on a hill (Mat 5:14), and it is the fruit of the Ruach evident and operating in our lives that will convince and convict people of the reality of the love of our Abba Father (1Cor 13:8).

As we continue to learn how to listen and lean on our Elohim, it is then that He leads us in the paths of righteousness (Ps 23:3) and keeps us in the way in which we should go (Ps 32:8).  We cannot afford to do our ‘own thing’ any longer; we no longer have the option of independence (Pro 3:5, 6; Pro 14:12).  Our Creator desires us to become completely dependent on Him for every direction and decision we make.   Our choices, when ‘seasoned’ with the nine “fruit of the Spirit”, will reveal the joyous and prosperous fulfillment found in living for our Abba Father, and His Son, Messiah Yeshua.

Since it is through the Spirit that we have Life, let it also be through the Spirit that we order our lives day by day.   (Gal 5:25 CJB)

Abba Yahweh, this is our desire: to bring much glory, honor, and praise to You.  May our lives be filled to overflowing with the fruit of the Ruach, the Holy Spirit, and may we endure patiently the pruning that is at times necessary for us to bear more fruit.  Our desire is always “not my will, but Your will, Abba, always, be done on earth as it is in heaven.”  In Name of Yeshua of Nazareth we pray … AMEIN!
