TISHRI 18

Great

“…have made me great.”  (Ps 18:35 AMPC)

The Hebrew word that has been translated as ‘great’ is the word râbâh (Strong’s H7235), and implies within it’s meaning a sense of multiplying, of increasing.  This same word, râbâh, is used in Genesis 22:17, where our Creator is promising Abraham the great increase coming of Abraham’s seed (“I shall certainly increase your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore”).  King David, the author of this Psalm, has used this word to describe the man that he has become, a man with a heart that follows hard after his Elohim (1Sam 13:14, Acts 13:22).

Would that we could all say this of our own hearts, our own character, of the person that we are now.  Let us not only seek the hand that feeds us, but more importantly, find the One who created us, and with everything in us, cleave only to Him.

Abba Yahweh, because You have given to us Your shield, because You have provided for us of Your salvation and deliverance, because of Your right hand that strengthens and supports us, because of Your gentleness and compassion, we are now able to stand strong, acknowledging who You are:  Yahweh our Elohim, the El Gibbor, the Mighty Elohim, Him who was, who is, and Him who is to come.  AMEIN!

“How great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those fearing You, Which You have prepared for those taking refuge in You In the sight of the sons of men!” (Ps 31:19)
