Hidden Secrets
“But there is a Eloh in Heaven who REVEALS SECRETS …” (Dan 2:28 HRB, emphasis mine)
As a young child growing up, my Dad
instilled in me a principle that has proven true many, many times: “If you are doing something that you have to
hide, then it is probably something that you shouldn’t be doing at all.” Once we start hiding our actions, then lying
to cover up what we have done, all we are doing is digging a pit that eventually,
we will fall into (Ps 7:15). Ultimately,
the truth will come out, even if it is
years down the road – we have our Elohim’s Word on that …
“And whatever is concealed SHALL BE REVEALED, and whatever is hidden SHALL
BE KNOWN. So, whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light,
and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms shall be proclaimed on the
house-tops.” (Luke 12:2-3 ISR, emphasis mine)
Consider all of the secrets in our hearts, thoughts,
feelings, attitudes that we really do not want to admit to. Our hearts must be clear and transparent –
like a glass-bottomed boat, revealing to us the ocean floor – before our
Creator and Master. And not only do we
need to be honest with our Elohim, we need to be honest with ourselves. Many are the times we can acknowledge to our
ABBA Father what our problem is, before we can admit to ourselves that we even
have one. We know that there is nothing
hidden from His sight (Ps 139:7-10; Jer 23:23-24), including everything that we
think that we are hiding from
Him. The solution?
“If we confess our sins, He is trustworthy and righteous to forgive us
the sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9 ISR)
“For,
behold, He who forms mountains and creates the wind and declares to man what
His THOUGHT is, He who makes the dawn darkness, and treads on the high places
of the earth; YAHWEH, the Elohim of Hosts, is His name.” (Amos 4:13 HRB, emphasis mine)
Help
us, YAH. Help us to completely trust YOU
with those hidden secrets, those deep, hidden places in our hearts that we
don’t allow anyone, even ourselves, access to.
Help us to acknowledge to You, and to ourselves, that there are areas
that need Your touch, Your attention, and then help us to
release them to You. For You, and only
You, are El-Roeh, the God who is the
Shepherd, who leads us beside the still waters, who restores our souls (Psalm
23). In the Name and authority of
Messiah Yeshua, our soon coming King …
