Sivan 11
Our Hiding Place
“He COVERS YOU with
His feathers, and UNDER His wings you take refuge ...” (Ps 91:4 ISR,
emphasis mine)
Most
infants and toddlers have their special
blankets, that to them, represent security and safety. Some adults have special places which offer peace, security, safety, and a sense of
home and belonging. For those of us that
have willingly entered into a close, intimate relationship with our Creator,
our security lies in Him, our Father,
our Deliverer, our Redeemer, our Elohim. It is to Him
that we run with our feelings of insecurity, with our fears, our doubts, our
weaknesses, our failings, and even our loneliness, and it is under the shadow
of His wings that we are restored.
“How
precious is Your kindness, O Elohim! And the sons of men take refuge in the
shadow of Your wings. They are filled
from the fatness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your
pleasures. For with You is the fountain
of life; In Your light we see light.” (Ps
36:7-9 ISR)
No
enemy can follow us when we crawl up into the lap of our ABBA Father; there is
no room for the devil and any of his associates there. The closer we stay to our Elohim, our Hiding
Place, our Refuge, our High Tower, the more that we will want to dwell in the “secret place of the Most High” (see Ps 91). The more time that we linger in the shadow of
the All-Mighty, the El-Shaddai, the
more of His truth will saturate our very beings. We will come away with boldness, and with
power, saying “IT IS WRITTEN”. And the
more time we spend in sweet intimacy with our YAH, the more we require … It is
a hunger and a thirst that is never satisfied.
“You are my hiding place; You preserve me
from distress; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.” (Ps 32:7 ISR)
