Adar 4
The Judgement
“Therefore
the wrong shall not rise in the judgment …” (Ps 1:5 ISR)
Noah Webster defines “therefore”
as “for
that or this reason, referring to something previously stated.”[1]  Throughout
this series, we have been taking a closer look at the character traits of those
who are blessed, and those who are “wrong”.
Let us first remember that these are people who have chosen to either
walk in the ways of our Creator, or they have chosen to walk in the ways of “self-rule”,
completely ignoring and turning away from the paths of righteousness.  Those who make this ultimate choice of
turning away from Torah will generally have no remorse over it.
I want to state
emphatically that someone who has made a mistake, a wrong decision, a wrong choice,
or just a wrong turn, and is truly repentant over it, is not included in this category.
We all make mistakes, we are all fallible, and yet we pick ourselves up
out of the dust, and go on, trusting in our Creator.
Every man, woman and child
who has ever lived, and will live, will stand before our Elohim to be judged
(Rom 2:3-6; 2Cor 5:10).  The question of
the hour is, “what will our sentence be?”
Have we lived our lives with the integrity that Torah teaches us, always
remembering the poor, the orphans and the widows?  Have we revered and honored our Creator with
all the work of our hands?  Has our emunah, our belief and trust, been
solely and completely focused upon Him?
Or, have we neglected and
ridiculed the amazing gift offered to us by our Creator, in the person of
Messiah Yeshua?  Have our lives been so
caught up in “self-rule”, and our selfish ways, that we chose to ignore with
contempt the One who is ruler over all?
Have we mocked and insulted the One who formed us, and trampled on His
instructions in moral and righteous living?
Time to take inventory,
folks … time for some personal auditing.
The days are growing shorter.
“Because it is time for judgment to begin from the
House of Elohim. And if firstly from us, what is the end of those who do not
obey the Good News of Elohim?  And if the righteous one is
scarcely saved, where shall the wicked and the sinner appear?”(1Pet 4:17-18 ISR)
