Your Name
“According to Your NAME, O Elohim …” (Ps 48:10 ISR, emphasis mine)
Your ‘name’ is what people know you by; it is the
stamp that makes you YOU.  However, there are many other titles that can
be added to a person’s name; we still find royalty in various countries of the
world, where there are Princes and Princesses, Dukes and Duchesses, Lords and
Ladies.  It does not change the original
name, it only adds to it.
Often, adjectives have been added to the names of persons of history. For example, in Russia’s history we have “Ivan the Terrible”, and “Catherine the Great”. In France’s long reign we find the “Spider King”, and from Great Britain, we must include “Richard the Lionhearted”, and “Edward Longshanks”.

of our Elohim stands forever (Ps 135:13), and it is the Name above all names (Phi
2:9).  There is healing in the Name (Acts 3:16; 4:30).  There is freedom in the Name (
His Name is Yahweh …
“I am יהוה, that is My Name, and My
esteem I do not give to another, nor My praise to idols.” (Isa 42:8 ISR)
“… HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore…” (Isa 9:6-7 AMPC, emphasis mine)
