TEVET 24

Stand

“… but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall STAND FIRM …” (Dan 11:32 AMPC, emphasis mine)

There is recorded for us in the Scriptures a story of three young men who “stood firm” in their belief, in their trust of their Elohim and Creator, to deliver them from death in a burning hot furnace.  Their names were Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego, and their story can be found in Daniel 3:1-25.  Were they afraid when the guards picked them up and threw them into the flames (the guards themselves died in the process of doing so)?  More than likely; however, these three young men had made up their minds, and purposed in their hearts, that nothing was going to sway them from their trust and confidence in the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  They knew Him, and their strength was in Him.

The El-Shaddai, the God who IS more than enough, rewarded their confidence in Him, with not only complete deliverance, but He also accompanied them while they were in the furnace.  The three young men were able to walk out of the flames, their clothes were not singed, and there was not even the smell of smoke on them.  Hallelu-YAH!

He answered and said, “Look! I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire. And they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of Elah.” (Dan 3:25)

We must know, intimately, closely, and completely, who our Elohim and Father is.  He must be more than just a passing acquaintance; He is the very breath that we draw, the light of our paths, and the strength of our hearts.  Then, and only then, can He become The Rock upon which we stand …

יהוה lives! And blessed is my Rock! And exalted is the Elohim of my deliverance …” (Ps 18:46)

Fear not; STAND STILL (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold {onto} your peace and remain at rest. (Ex 14:13-14 AMPC, emphasis and insert mine)
