TEVET 22

Do YOU Know Him?

“… But the people who KNOW their Elohim …” (Dan 11:32, emphasis mine)

Most of us are familiar with the image of Queen Elizabeth II; if we are shown a picture of the Queen, it is not difficult for us to recognize who it is.  But, can we say that we ‘know’ her?  Does she like cauliflower or spinach?  Is her favorite color red or perhaps blue?  Does she prefer movies, or the History Channel?  There is no way for us to know these things without spending time with Her Royal Highness, and this is the key word:  time.  Relationships of any kind mean an investment of our time and of ourselves, in order for them to be a success.  This includes our relationship with our Creator, Yahweh our Elohim.

Do you know Him, or just about Him?  I know certain things about Queen Elizabeth, from different articles I have read, or speeches I have heard her give, but I do not know her personally.  Unfortunately, many people have this same type of relationship with our Abba Father; they know who He is, they know He is the Creator, they know He is the Redeemer, and the soon coming King.  But they have never invested the time to know HIM.

We are living in a very turbulent time; there are those who believe we are in the time of what Messiah Yeshua referred to as “the beginning of sorrows” (Mat 24:8).  We see Jews worldwide returning to their homeland, the small nation of Israel that was re-born on May 14th, 1948 (see Jer 32:37-41; Eze 34:11-14; Amos 9:14-15).  We have “wars, and rumors of wars” (Mat 24:6), “famines and earthquakes in various places” (Mat 24:7), and “because lawlessness {TORAH-lessness} will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Mat 24:12).  I am not any type of ‘end time watcher’; however, those people who spend quality time with our Elohim, who know their God, will have the witness that events are heating up.  It is past time to know our Creator and Elohim, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, intimately, closely, and completely, to draw near, draw nigh unto Him, and let Him whisper His wisdom into our hearts.

“And this is everlasting life, that they should KNOW You, the only true Elohim, and יהושע Messiah whom You have sent.” (John 17:3, emphasis mine)
