Nisan 29
Saturated
“My cup runs over.” (Ps 23:5 ISR)
The Hebrew word that has been translated as “running
over” is the word revâyâh (Strong’s #H7310), and this verse is one of
the two places where it is used in Scripture.
It literally means to be completely saturated, to have an overflow and abundance. And as we have looked at this 23rd
Psalm, we can see how completely our Creator has provided all that we need,
that we may be completely “saturated”.
He is first our Shepherd, our care-giver. And because He is the One watching and
tending to us, we are not in want. We
have the nourishment that we need, in both the physical and spiritual,
available to us at all times. The areas
of our lives that need tender loving care are completely in His hands, and we
find ourselves restored and whole. Our
Creator is the One who chooses the path that we walk upon, and through His
Torah, He reveals to us the way in which we should
live. When darkness and evil threaten to
block our path, Elohim is there, walking with us through those troubled times.
Because we know, according to
our emunah, our faith, that our
Father is always with us, we stand
secure, and without fear. We accept His
discipline and correction, knowing that because of His love for us, He only
wants the very best for each one of us.
And because of this amazing
love, we have the future to look forward to, looking toward the banquet that He
has planned, one like no other.
“For this reason I bow my knees to the
Father of our Master יהושע Messiah, from whom all fatherhood
in the heavens and earth is named, in order that He might give you, according
to the riches of His esteem by power, to be strengthened in the inner man,
through His Spirit, that the Messiah might dwell in your hearts through belief – having become
rooted and grounded in love, in order that you
might be strengthened to firmly grasp, with all the set-apart ones, what is the
width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Messiah which
surpasses knowledge, in order that YOU MIGHT BE FILLED TO ALL THE COMPLETENESS
OF ELOHIM.” (Eph 14-19 ISR,
emphasis mine)
