Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who surrounds me with friends, people through whom You continue Your work IN me.Thank You, ABBA, for my “Adat Hashem”, my Congregation of Hashem, my brothers and sisters in the Lord, those that You have hand-picked to walk with me along this path.As we learn and grow together, encourage one another in our relationship with You, Your love and presence is reflected more and more in our midst.See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity – “ 1Thes 5:11; Heb 3:13; Eph 2:19-22; Eph 4:13-16; Ps 133:1 ©2011

“Yet I have been the LORD your God since the land of Egypt; and you were not to know any god except Me, for there is no savior besides Me.” (Hosea 13:4 NASB)

“IN GOD WE TRUST” – found on every monetary note of American currency …

ONE of the definitions of ‘god’, according to Noah Webster, is that of the “TITLE applied to the Supreme Creator, or applied to any person or thing that is exalted, worshiped, and deified” (American Dictionary of the English Language, Noah Webster, 1828, emphasis mine). For an individual to say “I believe in God” is NOT the acceptable cure-all that has been preached for years. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the One that most of us claim to serve, is asking us: in WHICH ‘god’ do we trust?

“You believe that "God is one"? Good for you! The demons believe it too — the thought makes them shudder with fear!” (James 2:19 CJB)

The God of Judeo-Christian beliefs does have a NAME, and He has invited, repeatedly, His children to use His name, as long a…

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe. My heart overflows because of all that You have done, and continue to do, for me, in and through me – You are perfecting all that concerns me.May I always be pliable in Your hands, the clay in my Master Potter’s hand, being molded and shaped into the vessel YOU have chosen me to be.May I reflect the light – YOUR light – to those You put me in contact with, those whose paths cross mine. And may all that I do and say be seasoned with the love of my Messiah Y’shua. My desire is that all would know to whom I belong:my Father, my King, my Master, my everything, my Adonai Elohim! ©2011

Amazing Grace

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who not only hears my every cry, but answers me, blessing me above and beyond everything I could ever imagine.Thank You, Father, for Your love, and for Your grace, which are limitless and have no end.Your GRACE, Father, Your favor that I do not deserve, nor can I ever earn it, yet it is through this grace that I am saved, redeemed, and restored to my right relationship with You. Thank You for Your arms around me, shielding and protecting me, and keeping me safe from all harm.O Lord, how excellent is YOUR Name in ALL the earth! Eyes to See

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has given us ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart to discern, understand and comprehend what is truth.Thank You, ABBA, that You desire to show us, reveal to us, those mysteries, secrets, that are hidden from the ones who do not belong to You, who are not called by YOUR Name.Only by the ‘Ruach haKodesh’, the HOLY Breath of God, comes wisdom and understanding, for He is the Spirit of Wisdom.May our hearts ALWAYS follow hard after YOU, for You are the “El Yeshuati”, the God of our Salvation! יהוה is my Portion,” says my being, “Therefore I WAIT for Him!” יהוה is good to those WAITING for Him, To the being who seeks Him.It is good – both to WAIT and to be silent, For the deliverance of יהוה.”(Lamentations 3:24-26 ISR, emphasis mine)
We now live in a microwave society. Most everything is accomplished at speeds we do not try to measure; we complain when our computers run slow, and signal is poor for our cell phones. Our U.S. Postal Service verifies that postal patrons may only receive hand written, personal correspondence ONCE in a two week period – the days of letter writing (certainly by hand) are long gone.
However, Father God, the Elohim who created not only we frail humans, but the world we live in, is NOT on our time-table, and never will be.He cannot be coerced or manipulated into operating on our schedule. All too often we forget who holds the reins of the universe in His hands …
The earth belongs to יהוה, And all that fills it – The world and those who dwell in it. For…

Let It Rain!

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who pours IN to me the LIFE giving water that is needed to satisfy.Just as You give this earth its needed rain in Your due season, You generously give to me the ‘spiritual rain’ I require, for nourishment and growth.Your “living water” – the Torah, and Y’shua, the LIVING Torah – are the only thirst quenchers that truly satisfy; everything else is but a shadow, and will leave a dry, nasty, after-taste.Thank You, my “AdonaiYir’eh”, my Lord who sees to it, my God who provides, that the ‘rivers of living water’ NEVER run dry!Hallelu-YAH!!! Another Shabbat!

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who rested on the seventh day, blessed it, and sanctified it.We delight in YOU, this Sabbath day, we honor and give praise to You, our Elohim and our Creator, and we thank You for all that You give us to enjoy.May we be a blessing to YOU, “Elohim Avinu”, God our Father, in all that we say and do … in the Name that is above all names we pray, Yeshua of Nazareth, AMEIN! Feast of Sukkot!

Blessed are YOU, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who calls us aside, to fellowship, to commune with, to simply BE with one another. We thank You, Father, that Your desire for our love and companionship never ends.We thank You for this special time, this ‘Festival of Sukkot’, in which we are able to serve and worship You! You are the creator of all that we see, hear, taste, smell and touch. For all of this wonderful bounty that You have created for us to enjoy, we give You thanks. While we walk with You in the cool of the evening, we give You praise and honor.May we never find ourselves too busy to stop, and simply LOVE You, our “El Hannora”, our AWESOME God! Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has generously given to us the freedom to CHOOSE. You have never wanted robots, or slaves, to do Your will, but You desire children, YOUR children, to love You freely and openly. You rejoice over obedience given from a loving and joyful heart, all springing from that freedom of CHOICE. We CHOOSE this day, whom we will love and serve: “Elohei Kedem”, the Eternal God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We gladly bow our knee to You, YAH, and our Messiah King, Y’shua HaMassiach!

What is TORAH?

“In traditional Jewish thinking, the word "Torah" is used in a rather broad way. It is a word which is used in reference to all the authoritative teaching of the rabbis through the centuries. In a more narrow usage, "Torah" means all Jewish law as it is recorded in both the Bible and the Talmud (a compendium of oral Torah). Getting simpler still, "Torah" has also been used in reference to the Tenakh (the complete Old Testament). Finally, in its most limited usage, "Torah" means just the first five books of the Bible, Genesis through Deuteronomy (also called the Chumash).

“Rabbinic Jewish thinking has declared that there are two Torahs: written and oral. When the rabbis talk in these terms, they usually mean that the written Torah is the Chumash (Pentateuch, or first five books of the Bible). Moshe wrote this Torah as he received it from God Himself on Mount Sinai. On the other hand, the oral Torah, the rabbis' claim, was also received by Mos…

The Seasons

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who created and established the changing seasons, seedtime and harvest, winter and summer, for YOUR eternal purpose. We thank You, “Adonai YHWH”, our Lord God, for in Your wisdom You established a principal that never changes. We stand in awe of each season, in its own individual beauty and glory, and the bounty that it brings. And we are humbled, forever grateful, for the covenant that we have with YOU, the “Adon Kol-ha’arets”, the Lord of ALL the Earth, the covenant that tells us: “So long as the earth exists, sowing time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease."AVI, our Father, how we love You! Mercy Seat

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who is RICH in mercy, whose mercies are new every morning, who shows mercy to thousands upon thousands of those who love YOU, and keep Your Torah, Your Word.Your very throne is called the Mercy Seat, and it is there we come to meet with YOU, our ‘AVI’, our Father, where You embrace us, and welcome us home. How awesome is our God!Hallelu-YAH! Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has gifted us with the sense of ‘smell’.How wonderful the fragrance of fresh cut grass, the crisp, clean scent of line-dried sheets, the soft, heart wrenching smell peculiar to a new-born baby – all of these are individual, unique, and distinct, and we wouldn’t want to miss a single one.Thank You, YAH, for this simple, yet profound gift.May we learn to recognize the awesome fragrance of YOUR presence; let THIS be the fragrance that we desire above all, and let THIS be the fragrance that clings to us as we move through our day.Only from YOUR presence, Lord, only from YOUR presence … 1Cor 12:17; Ps 45:8; Hos 14:6; John 12:3; 2Cor 2:14:14-16; Ps 16:11 ©2011

Code of Conduct

Only be sure as citizens so to CONDUCT YOURSELVES [that] your manner of life [will be] worthy of the good news (the Gospel) of Christ …” (Philippians 1:27 Amp, emphasis mine)
“For you are a set-apart people to יהוה your Elohim. יהוה your ELOHIM HAS CHOSEN YOU to be a people for Himself, a treasured possession above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”(Deuteronomy 7:6 ISR, emphasis mine)
From the very beginning, the instructions set forth in the Torah – Divine instructions for righteous and moral living – would mark YHWH’s people as “different”.In the 3500 some years since the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai, the Hebrew nation has been the most misunderstood nation in existence, yet they are also the most recognizable, by their strict allegiance to this code called “TORAH”.
Would that we, as born-again believers in Messiah Yeshua/Jesus, were that recognizable. We are called to be citizens of a NEW country, with a NEW King as leader, and it is by HIS laws that we must now be gove…

WHAT Do You Know?

“Examine and test and evaluate your OWN selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. TEST AND PROVE YOURSELVES [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and KNOW [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected? (2Corinthians 13:5 Amp, emphasis mine)
How do you gauge the extent of your KNOWLEDGE?Whom do you KNOW?Who do you hang out with? What are you certain of?What can you test and prove within yourself, and evaluate against the standard of the Torah, the Word of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? What is the ONE statement that you can make that you know is absolute truth, nothing but the truth, so help you, YHWH?
“For I KNOW that my Redeemer and Vindicator lives, and at last He [the Last One] will stand upon the earth …. Whom I, even I, shall see for myself and on my side! And my eyes shall behold Him, and not as a stranger!”(Job 19:25, 27 Amp, empha…

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who uses the situations and circumstances in our lives to teach us patience. We learn to wait, to wait on YOU, on Your timing, on the fulfillment of Your Word, especially IN us.We learn to be as patient with others as You are with us, for when we are truthful with ourselves, we realize that the standard for patience lies with YOU, “El Rachum”, the God of Compassion.Thank You, ABBA, that You never leave us, never abandon us, but will always complete what You have started in us, until the day of Messiah Yeshua!Hallelu-YAH!!! By Hearing

So then faith comethby HEARING, and hearing by the word of Yahweh.”  (Romans 10:17 WOY, emphasis mine)
“HEAR, O Israel: Yahweh our Elohim Yahweh isone:” (Deuteronomy 6:4 WOY, emphasis mine)
The “Sh’ma” is considered THE most important prayer to everyone of Jewish descent, having received its name from the first word of Deuteronomy 6:4: “Sh’ma”, which means “HEAR”.  I understand that it is recited three times daily, and is the first prayer that a young Jewish child learns.
But “Sh’ma” means more than “HEAR”; it means to hear, and then to DO.  Simply ‘hearing’ the Word of God, which includes the Torah, is not enough.  Included is the sense of careful, attentive listening, with the desire for obedient action.  We must be faithful DOERS of the Word that we hear; the Apostle Paul knew this well when he wrote the epistle to the Romans, as did James, the brother to our Adonai Yeshua.
Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a …

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who gives us ears to hear, and a heart that is willing and eager to be obedient to Your Word. Our desire is to wait upon You, to listen for YOUR voice, and to follow – not only the instructions written down for us in Your Torah, but those instructions You confirm to us in the night seasons.Like Samuel, let us always reply: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”And let us not waver, but be quick to follow the Word that is given – YOUR Word is LIFE!
