Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who teaches me to appreciate the simple, little things in life. The fresh, clean smell of line-dried clothes, the love of an animal, trusting you to provide for all of their needs, the smile of an infant reflected in his/her mother’s face: this are all simple pleasures I too often rush past and forget about. Thank YOU, ABBA, that You teach me to slow down, and wait, to savor the taste of each moment, knowing that once it is gone, it will never be repeated again. Thank You, YAH, for this gift of time. May I learn, truly learn, how precious it really is. AMEIN!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has given to me one day, out of each week, where I can renew my betrothal vows to You, my Creator and King. Thank You, my Father, for this time where my focus is entirely upon my relationship with You. You, my “El Shaddai”, my ALL-Sufficient and Mighty Elohim, are the most important person in my life … I give You honor and esteem, and I worship You. Amein.

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has given to me the way of salvation, through the Messiah Yeshua.  Thank You, my Father, BECAUSE You so loved those that You have created, You provided a way for them to walk in right relationship with You.  Such love I cannot comprehend, that ONE would die for me.  Truly, You are the “El Yeshuati”, the Elohim of my Salvation!  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who leads me TO the still, calm waters. When the waves of this world are flooding the boat, and everything appears to be sinking fast, here You are, walking on the water, reminding me WHO is in control. You speak, and the storms of life obey Your Word. My eyes remain focused on You, the “El Elyon”, the MOST HIGH Elohim, while this world, as I know it, spins like a whirlwind. I know that You have YOUR way, even in the whirlwind …Thank You, ABBA, that You will never betray one that trusts in You. AMEIN!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is pointing out to me the benefits of receiving YOUR ‘correction’. Because of Your correction, my Father, I know and recognize Your love for me. By accepting YOUR correction, I choose to NOT die, neither will I forsake the Way of my King. Thank You, ABBA, that You care enough for me to correct me when I am in the wrong, and to guide me back to the path called LIFE. Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who reigns in the darkness as much as in the light. Even when my world seems totally black, and I cannot see my hand in front of my face, You are there. You are the Light of the World, and by YOUR Word, light was created to chase away ALL darkness. You are the “‘Or Goyim”, the Light of the Nations, and as a moth to a flame, I draw near. Thank You, my Avi, my Father, my Creator, and my Deliverer. Amein!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  You have shown me, ABBA, the dangers that wait for those people who choose to walk away from Torah, and I understand, unfortunately, that there will be those that do. My petition to You, my “El Tsaddik”, my Righteous Elohim, is that I would never be counted among those who turn away, and turn back to Mitsrayim, to Egypt.  May my heart and my eyes ALWAYS remained concentrated upon You, to walk in all of Your ways. Amein.

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who created mankind with the ability to lie down, and sleep. I am grateful, my Father, that because I dwell in Your peace and security, I can sleep soundly, without fear and interruption. You have promised me, in Your Word, that “When I lie down, I need not be afraid. And I shall lie down and my sleep shall be sweet.” Thank You, ABBA, that as I sleep, I have no anxiety about tomorrow, for I KNOW that You are already there. Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has blessed me with the gift of the Shabbat. I thank You, ABBA, for this treasure, this taste of eternity, this place in time, where I can come and join with YOU. It is a joy and a delight to spend time in fellowship with You, my Creator, and to also join in fellowship with like-minded brethren. Truly, Your ordinance of Shabbat IS a rest and a pleasure, and is never a burden. May Your Sabbath reign come soon, YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is teaching me how NOT to be ‘rude’. Though my actions will many times speak louder than my words, if BOTH my actions and words reveal a lack of respect, care and concern for my fellow man (one who was also created in the image of Elohim), I am in BIG trouble. I am to “love my neighbor as myself”, and being rude and unmannerly is not appropriate. Thank You, my Father, for all of Your instructions, as You lead me in the Way I am to go. Amein.

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is the foundation of simple ‘common sense’. So often You pull me aside, telling me to stop and THINK, before doing something that IS in reality, foolish. You show me the wisdom in restraining myself, in exercising self-control, and allowing You to finish the work You began in me! Your ways are higher than my ways, and Your thoughts than my thoughts, yet You assure me that Your thoughts toward me are always for the good. Thank You, my ABBA, my Father, that my trust in You will never be put to shame!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who created me with a MIND, an intellect, inclination and intelligence. I am in amazement, ABBA, at how quickly my mind plays ‘leap frog’, jumping from one thought to another, without any effort! Thank You, my Father, that You are training me to take EVERY thought captive, to hold it and examine it against the standard of Your Word, and to discard those thoughts that do NOT meet the measure. AMEIN!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is teaching me to KNOW Your Name. Your Name is who You are, Your character, and Your essential essence.  You, my Father, are the “Elohei Mishpat”, the Elohim of Justice, and You are also “El Rachum”, the Elohim of Compassion. You are the “El Emet”, the Elohim of Truth, and You are also the “El De’ot”, the Elohim of all Knowledge. More than anything, You are the “El Chaiyai”, the Elohim of MY Life, and I adore You …

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who established the sun and the moon, counts the number of the stars, and calls them by name! These are ordinances that have ‘forever’ attached to them; according to Your Word, should these ordinances ever cease and desist, so too shall the nation of Yisra’el also cease. Thank You, my Father, that Your Word, Your Torah, Your instructions, and Your ordinances will endure forever! Amein!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is teaching me the concept of endurance. Endurance involves commitment, about seeing things through to the finish line, about hanging in there for the long haul. Thank You, my Father, that because I see Your commitment to me, I KNOW that with Your hand in mine, I can endure to the end. Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who sanctifies me, and sets me apart through Your Word, Your TORAH. It is through Your Torah that I have the joy and beauty of the Sabbath rest, where I learn of Your LIGHT and love, and learn how to rest IN You. Blessed are You, YHWH our Eohim, who sanctifies and LIGHTS my Shabbat. Truly, You are Lord of the Shabbat, and this time we spend together is beyond all wealth. Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who continues to teach me how to “love my neighbor as I do myself.” Thank You, my Father, for the individuals You bring into my life, to ‘test’ me in this area. As I learn, sometimes repeatedly, how to place others before myself, I begin to reveal how I am an extension of YOUR hand, stretched out in the love You have for these humans You have created in Your image. Help me, ABBA, to display Your “gentleness that has made me great”. Amein!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who continues to teach me the meaning of “chêsêd”.  This word is not JUST mercy, it is not JUST favor, it is not JUST grace, it is not JUST loving-kindness – it is a faithful commitment to all of these attributes, AND the walking out of them. Thank You, my Father, that as I study Your example of “chêsêd”, I learn again that my actions must speak louder that my words. ABBA, may all that I do reflect YOUR love and mercy. AMEIN!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Thank You, my Father, that You are teaching me to love those who say all manner of unkind things concerning me.  You have shown me, ABBA, that many times it is the hurts and wounds within the one speaking that is, in reality, being expressed. It is also when I make the choice to react in love and compassion that all of these unkind words have no negative effect on me. Thank You, my Elohim, that You make my “even my enemies to be at peace with me”. Hallelu-YAH!!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is the foundation upon which I choose to build my house. You are the ROCK upon which I stand; all other ground is sinking sand. You, my Father, are the Light that leads me through the darkness, and You are the Shepherd that watches over me, keeping me safe from all harm.  Thank You, my Elohim, for WHO You are, the “El Gibbor”, the MIGHTY Elohim! Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Yes, my Elohim, You are my King, my supreme ruler, and not only is Your kingdom without end, but You rule and reign eternally. Thank You, my Father, for THAT Day, when all will be gathered to You, and death will be no more. May it be soon, ABBA, even in our days …

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who counts even the hair on my head! It amazes me, ABBA, at the depth of Your love, care and concern for me, that You would be so involved in my life. May every breath I take bring You glory and honor, may my life reflect all that You have poured IN to me. Amein.

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has given me LIGHT. You have given me the light of Your Word, the lamp to my feet and the light to my path. You spoke Your Word, and there was light in the heavens, to divide the day from the night, and You saw that it was good. And because YOU are also light, I no longer walk in darkness, but I ‘possess the light of life.’ I thank You, “Elohei Kedem”, my Eternal Elohim, and I rejoice in YOUR light!

Blessed are YOU, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is the author of TRUTH. I know, ABBA, that You are the true Elohim, the “Elohim Emet”, the Elohim of Truth, and I know that grace and truth came through my Savior King, Messiah Yeshua. I know that Your written Word, the Torah, is truth, and I know the Ruach HaKodesh, is the Spirit of Truth. Thank You, Elohim, for the TRUTH that I receive, for it is the standard that I can hold everything up against, that I would NEVER be deceived. Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who created the most amazing color palate that I could ever imagine! As I pause and LOOK, I find colors ranging from the deep purple of lilacs, the rich red of a rose, to the canary yellow of daffodils. And then, when I look up to offer my thanks, I see the blueness of the sky, with clouds of brilliant white! Oh, my Father, I THANK You for all of the many colors in my world, colors that You created for me to enjoy! Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is my “Adon Kol-ha’arets”, my Master of ALL the Earth. As I watch international news, I see the nations of this world in chaos, turning this way and that, looking for the ‘quick fix’ that will solve all of their problems. I look to YOU, my Creator, and I give thanks that YOU are the One in control, and that all of these things must come to pass before THE Day of my Elohim. May it be soon, ABBA, even in my day …
