Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  My Father, I thank You for hugs.  From the hug of a small child, to that of a close friend, and culminating with a hug from my spouse, they are all special in their own way.  Thank You for all of the emotions that are conveyed through a hug, from the love, caring and warmth, to the respect, concern and need.  Thank You, ABBA, for the security of YOUR everlasting arms, as they hold me close.  Amein!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who continually warns me of the hazard of telling little un-truths.  You have shown me, ABBA, that should the truth NOT be spoken, in entirety, there is then the danger of agreeing with the adversary, who is the “father of ALL lies”.  May my mouth always be filled with Your truth, Your Word, Your Torah, for You are the “El Emet”, the Elohim of truth.  Amein!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is my “vine-dresser”.  You are the One, my Father, who tenderly prunes me, cutting of those branches that do not bear fruit according to Your standards.  And You are the One, ABBA, who carefully leads me to the fertilizer that is Your Word, Your Torah, in order that I might grow, and bear the GOOD fruit.  Thank You, my Father, for all of Your care.  Amein!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  My Father, I ask that, according to Your Word, You would “give me understanding in all things”.  I recognize and appreciate that all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding originates with You; help me, ABBA to understand more of Your Word, Your Torah, Your ways, and this walk that I am on.  Please, my Elohim, let me not be blown and carried about by every wind of false doctrine of men, who through their craftiness are very skillful in deceiving the people”.   Thank You, YAH, that You “watch over all who love You”.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who patiently waits for me to join with You in celebrating Your sanctified and set-apart day, Your Shabbat.  I thank You, ABBA, that the ordinance concerning this day is symbolic of an everlasting covenant with You.  When I choose to celebrate this day with my Creator, it reveals to those around me WHO I am, Your child, taking great pleasure in my relationship with You.  I thank You, Yah, for this special day, I praise and bless You with all that I am.  AMEIN!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Father, THIS day, it is my desire to thank You for all of our men and women in our military forces.  Most of them willingly serve the United States of America in this demanding profession, yet with so little support and thanks.  Thank You, ABBA, for all of these men and women; may YOUR hand be upon them, keeping them safe from all harm.  AMEIN.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who provided me with ‘road maps’.  Thank You, my Father, for the ability to look in a road atlas, and find directions to get to the place I am going to.  Thank You, ABBA, for the ultimate ‘road map’, Your Word, Your Torah, which gives me directions on how to reach for the “olam haba”, the world to come.  Your divine instructions in moral and righteous living is truly the most important set of directions I have!  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is clarifying to me the importance of keeping ‘my word’.  If I give ‘my word’ to someone, especially YOU, my Father, it should be a priority to me to KEEP this word, to DO what I have said that I would do.  If I choose to NOT keep ‘my word’, I am proving myself to be untrustworthy, and false.  ABBA, help me to BE the person of integrity that YOU require me to be, someone who’s word is trustworthy.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Thank You, ABBA, for dirty dishes.  A sink full of dirty dishes means that the food necessary to sustain me, strengthen me, and nourish me was provided for my household, THIS day.  Thank You, my Father, for the ability to prepare what You have provided for me.  And thank You for meeting ALL of my need, according to YOUR riches in glory, through my Messiah Yeshua!  Hallelu-YAH!!!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  My Father, You have instructed me to “pray for the peace of Yerushalayim”, and I am to “bless the children of Yisra’ĕl”.  I know, ABBA, that there will be no lasting peace until my Messiah King comes again, yet I pray that those who dwell in Your special city will have a sense of ‘shalom’ in the midst of these troubled times.  And I continue to speak blessings over Yisra’ěl, knowing that these will always be Your chosen people, “the apple of Your eye”.  Thank You, my Elohim, that I am now a part of Yisra’ěl, adopted in through my Messiah Yeshua!  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is the foundation upon which I choose to build my house.  You are the ROCK upon which I stand; all other ground is sinking sand.  You, my Father, are the Light that leads me through the darkness, and You are the Shepherd that watches over me, keeping me safe from all harm.  Thank You, my Elohim, for WHO You are, the “El Gibbor”, the MIGHTY God!  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who continually warns me of the dangers of becoming ‘lukewarm’ in my relationship with You, my Creator.  As I know first-hand, it is easy to allow the ‘cares of this world’ to creep in, and just as cholesterol can eventually block my arteries, so too can these ‘cares’ impede and hinder my connection with You, ABBA.  Help me, my Elohim, to stay focused on YOU, my “El Hanne´eman”, my Faithful Elohim, focused on You, and Your Torah.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Yes, my Elohim, You are my King, my supreme ruler, and not only is Your kingdom without end, but You rule and reign eternally.  Thank You, my Father, for THAT Day, when all will be gathered to You, and death will be no more.  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who checks me continuously when I allow myself to become ‘irritated’.  When irritation takes hold of me, it is because my expectations were not met; for example, someone did not DO what I expected them to do.  You are teaching me, my Father, that it is wrong for me to expect others to meet MY standards, for when I do so, I am operating out of the desire to be in control.  Forgive me, ABBA, for the wrong expectations I have placed upon others.  And help me to be thankful for all that others do that is above and beyond what I could have ever expected.  Amein.

Yom Bererkha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is my “Esh Okhlah”, my Consuming Fire.  You are constantly at work within me, burning up the garbage, that only those things that are of YOU would remain.  Thank You, my Father, for Your purifying fire in my life, bringing me closer to the image of Messiah Yeshua IN me.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who cautions me frequently about becoming someone who will not accept correction or a reprimand.  Thank You, my Father, for those whom You have brought into my life, those whom I trust, that DO give me the ‘correct’ correction, when it is needed.   ABBA, please, may I always be willing to hear, and willing to accept, any reproof that comes from You, regardless of the vessel.  Amein and AMEIN.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is teaching me the correct attitude with which to ‘fast’.  I am to humble myself, to afflict my soul, and to be totally transparent with myself.  I am to always remember the poor, hungry and destitute, and I am to have no part of malicious slander.  It is when I am faithful to do these things, with the right heart and mind, that You, my Father, will guide me continuously, and satisfy my very being.  Amein!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Thank You, my King, for the Shabbat, this set-apart day, when I can lay the week aside, and spend my time with You.  I choose, this day, to “enter into Your gates with thanksgiving, and come into Your courts with praise”.  I choose to “be thankful to You, and to bless Your Name”.  And I thank You, my Father, that “You are good; Your mercy is everlasting, and Your faithfulness is to generation and generation”.  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is training me in HOW to serve one another in love.”  I am to consider others before myself:  their needs, their ‘shalom’, and their feelings must come before my own.  Thank You, my Father, that as I help bear the burdens of others, I am walking in Torah, and learning more and more of HOW to “love my neighbour as myself.”  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who instructs me to intercede and pray for all of those who are in authority over me, be it in the physical realm, such as our government, or in the spiritual realm, such as those within the congregational setting.  I understand and acknowledge that no person holds an authoritative position except those appointed by You, my Elohim.  And while I may not always agree with those in authority over me, it IS my responsibility to PRAY, that I might lead a calm and peaceable life in all reverence and seriousness”.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is instructing me on the ‘how’ to be selective in my HEARING.  There is much deceptive information available to me, and evil reports abound; however, I must choose what I will “sh’ma”, hear and obey.  Today, my Father, I make the choice of whose report I will believe:  I believe the Word of my Elohim, which remains forever!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who warns me continually of how useless and pointless ‘arguing’ really is.  When I insist on pushing MY point of view on others, MY agenda, I am walking in arrogance and pride, the opposite of the love and compassion that come from You, my Father.  Forgive me, my Elohim, for all those times that I just KNEW I was ‘right’.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is the BEST lifeguard there is.  Thank You, my Father, that though I may find myself battling upstream without a life-preserver, YOU, my “El Sali”, the Elohim of my strength, hold my head above the water.  I thank You, ABBA, for those faithful arms that I cling to.  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  My Father, I thank You for allowing ‘the wheat and the tares’ to grow together.  I know that I am not to compare myself with others; however, when I witness a ‘tare’ being just that: a ‘tare’, it strengthens my resolve and commitment to You, the “El Olam”, the EVERLASTING Elohim.  ABBA, Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the Elohim of my deliverance; On You I wait all the day.”  Amein!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe.  Thank You, my Father, for the Shabbat, a day in which You restore me, refresh me, as I come and sit at Your feet.  Thank You, ABBA, for this time of fellowship with You, a special time where I learn more of You, and Your ways.  May my eyes, ears and heart always be open to what You have for me to feast on.  AMEIN!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is teaching me the importance of ‘self-control’.  If I do not learn to control my emotions, desires, and the words that I speak, then I am not walking in the necessary ‘Fruit of the Ruach’.  If I do not choose to walk in/with the Ruach HaKodesh, and pursue those things – including self-control – that make for LIFE in my Father’s kingdom, then I am earthly, carnal, and not one of His.  Help me, my Father, to entertain those things that make for LIFE, and to refuse those things that lead only to death.  Amein.

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is sternly educating me concerning the friends and acquaintances that I surround myself with.  You have shown me, my Father, that I need to be cautious about those who choose to NOT follow Torah, for “Bad company corrupts good morals.”Thank You, my Father, that You give Your cherubs charge over me, to keep me in all Your ways.”  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who created the ‘written word’, beginning with each letter of the alphabet, to the meanings of each individual word, and including proper sentence structure.  Thank You, my Father, for the ability to READ, to comprehend what all the letters and words mean, and to understand Your thoughts behind the words.  And thank You, ABBA, that You continue to open the eyes of my understanding, unfolding wonderful ‘nuggets’ from Your Torah.  Hallelu-YAH!

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who is the Creator of everything that ‘grows’.  From the green grass that grows on the hillsides, to the flowers blooming in my yard, to the trees standing sentinel along the creek, to the acres of corn and wheat throughout the county – Father, I appreciate all of Your bounty.  From seedtime to harvest, it is ALL the work of Your hands.  Hallelu-YAH!

Yom Berekha - The Daily Blessing

Blessed are You, YHWH our Elohim, King of the universe, who abhors enmity between those that are called by HIS Name.  Enmity equates a hostile attitude, and it is impossible for me to walk in unity with the ‘brethren’ while nursing such an attitude.  Thank You, my Father, for revealing to me that enmity has its root in pride, which will always bring a person LOW.  And I thank You, ABBA, that as I humble MYSELF under Your hand, You are the One who lifts me up!  Hallelu-YAH!
