The Fatherheart of God

“As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].”  (Psalm 103:13 Amp)

“Our Father in Heaven, may YOUR Name always be sanctified.”  (Matthew 6:9 Hebrew Gospel of Matthew)

Our modern society has distorted the image of what biblical fatherhood truly is, and when wives, mothers, and children find a man attempting to live and walk this God-given mandate, it is with honor and respect that we take our hats off to you.  Our world today is filled with one parent homes, single moms (and dads too) trying to raise children who simply do not understand the “why” of the absentee parent, and often take the blame upon themselves for their difficult upbringing.

But this is NOT how our ABBA Father intended it to be.  He is our Heavenly FATHER, and He is the ultimate example of fatherhood that there is.  Tender, yet strong; kind, yet firm; always loving, yet with a firm hand upon the reins of our lives.  When we choose, of our own free will, to be disobedient, it IS our choice, and there are consequences for our actions.  And when we choose to be obedient, live our lives in accordance with HIS Word, there is incredible peace and rewards.

From the very beginning of time, our adversary has tainted and tarnished the image of our Father God, to the point where most men no longer look to HIM as their example of being not only a Father, but of being a MAN.  This was, of course, to be expected, for it would be the MAN, Yeshua of Nazareth, who would crush his head.  It was, however, because of the amazing ‘fatherheart’ of God that the MAN Yeshua HaMashiach, would even come …

“For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.  (John 3:16 ISR)

Men and fathers, this is the day we recognize YOU, this is YOUR day, and we salute, and honor YOU.  We choose to thank YOU for the godly stand that you have made in an un-godly world, and we want you to know that we appreciate you, and we stand with you.  We, your wives, your mothers, and your children, give you honor, this FATHER’S DAY, and we thank you for all that you have done, and continue to do, as a father.  May all that you set your hands to prosper, in the Name that is above all names, Yeshua of Nazareth.  AMEIN!

“Render to all men their dues … respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due.”  (Romans 13:7 Amp)

In memory of my own father (Neils Dahl Abel, who died August 2nd, 1956), and my father-in-law (Alvin Richard Marx, who died December 8th, 2008).  Two very special men.
