Overflowing

“… For his mouth speaks what overflows from his heart.” (Luke 6:45 CJB)

Father, my Father, my heart is ‘overflowing’. Words seem so inadequate; to say “I love You” is insufficient, it does not begin to express the wealth of emotion within me toward You. You are the breath that I draw, for without You, there is no breathing. You are the light and the delight of my eyes, for with my eyes I look upon all that You have created, and all that You continue to do to bless and honor Your children.

You are the beat of my heart, for You are the One that formed me within my mother’s womb. You continue to monitor this heart, making sure it functions in the capacity for which You created it. You are the sweet fragrance in my nostril, letting me know that You are near, the gentle touch upon my head. With my hands, I reach out to You, and You take me by the hand, leading me and guiding me in the paths of righteousness.

You are my 'Joy unspeakable and full of glory', my 'Bright and S…

Thy Word

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who fills my mouth with YOUR words. Your Spirit, the “Ruach HaKodesh”, rises within me to give me the words to say in any and every given situation. As long as my heart and my mind stay focused and yielded to You, Father, You are able use this vessel for YOUR glory. For it is YOUR Word that sets the captive free, and it is the entrance of YOUR Word that brings light and LIFE! Thank You, Lord, Your Word never changes, but is eternally fixed! Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

Gardening ...

“Give ear, O Israel: TODAY you are going forward to the fight; let your heart be strong; do not let uncontrolled fear overcome you because of those who are against you; For the Lord your God goes with you, fighting for you to give you SALVATION from those who are against you.” (Deuteronomy 20:3-4 BBE, emphasis mine)

Earlier this year, my husband and I moved from one side of the state of Wyoming to the other, a distance of over 350 miles, to a new home that the Lord had hand picked for us. With the house is a garden plot; I eagerly anticipated a bountiful harvest of fresh garden veggies. However, this garden has not been worked in about three years, and has been vigorously invaded by weeds. There are weeds here that I have never dealt with before (horrors!), and coming from a different area, and I have had to enlist the help of the local Extension Agency in identifying what is what.

Added to this, an additional ‘invader’ is a four-legged one: DEER! Our home is in a very secluded…

Ears to Hear

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who reveals to me, step by step, little by little, the ways and means to conquer and defeat the enemy coming against me and mine. Just as with Your nation of Israel when they entered their Promised Land, it has always been a work in progress. Thank YOU, Father, that You are faithful to go before me to prepare the way, and I very much appreciate that You are my rearguard. You train me, You teach me, You ‘fine tune’ my hearing, telling me, “this is the way, WALK IN IT”. May I always have ears to hear, and a heart to receive, my Father, my ‘Yah’. ©2011

My Support

“I took my rest in sleep, and then again I was awake; for the Lord was my support.” (Psalm 3:5 ERV)

A few years ago, on a trip to Las Vegas, my husband and I took some ‘time out’ to visit Hoover Dam. Construction was in progress of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project, which consisted of an ENORMOUS bridge a short ways downstream of the dam. The purpose of this bridge was to eventually carry the bulk of traffic back and forth from Nevada and Arizona, diverting them away from crossing over the narrow dam.

The span of this bridge was awe-inspiring, and I did not envy the workers up there at that height. I later learned (thank you, Wikipedia!) that the bridge is some 900 feet above the Colorado River (gives me the shudders), and is the longest concrete arch in the western hemisphere. It is the first of its kind to be built in the United States – a concrete and steel composite arch bridge – and is the second highest bridge in the nation.

Without that foundation of concrete and steel, there i…

Rain!

Blessed are YOU, Lord our God, King of the universe, who gives us the rain in its season to water the earth, causing our harvest to grow and multiply. I thank You, “Avinu Elohim”, Father God, for THIS morning, THIS day. I thank You for the green grass that provides nourishment for all of the animal kingdom, and releases precious oxygen into the atmosphere for us to breath. Thank You, Father of LIFE, for the sweet, clean smell of rain! ©2011

Hope

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who walks WITH us through the storms of life, and even THROUGH the “valley of the shadow of death”. You reassure us that this is not a place for us to linger, and that even though weeping comes for a night, JOY breaks forth with the dawning of a new day! YOU, ABBA, are the Light of Life, and we cling to You like super-glue. You are the “El-Shaddai”, the ALL-Mighty God, our High Tower in the midst of the storm. Thank You, Father, for WHO You are! ©2011

My Shabbat

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who is my Lord of the Sabbath, my beloved betrothed that I spend this appointed time with every week. I have been taught that the Sabbath is referred to as the ‘wedding ring’, between myself and my heavenly bridegroom. With joy, I look forward to the continuous, 7-day “circle”, which gives me the opportunity to repeat my ‘I do’, and renew my commitment to my “El Elyon”, my God, the MIGHTY God! I love You, Lord! ©2011

More Oil

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘ Lord, lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say t…

My Peace

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who floods my innermost being with peace, when chaos threatens to turn my world upside down. When everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong, my ‘Sar Shalom’, my Prince of Peace, is there, strengthening me, and reassuring me that HE is still on the throne of my life, and He is bigger than every problem that I have. Truly, when the enemy comes in, like a flash flood the Spirit of the Lord will come against him! Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

Daily Confession

In my prayers I keep asking the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I will have full knowledge of him. I pray that he will give light to the eyes of my heart, so that I will understand the hope to which he has called me, what rich glories there are in the inheritance he has promised his people, and how surpassingly great is his power working in ME, who is trusting him.

When I lack wisdom, I ask of our God, who gives to all generously and without reproach; and it is given to me. I ask in faith and trust, doubting nothing, for I will not be like a wave in the sea being tossed and driven by the wind.

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon me, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of revelation knowledge and of the reverential fear and awe of the Lord. My delight is in the fear of the Lord, and I will not judge by the sight of my eyes, nor decide by the hearing of m…

A Pleasant Habitation

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has given us a habitation, a dwelling place, a place to call home while we sojourn upon this earth. We know that this earth is not our eternal home, our final destination, but You, ABBA, have given to us, in Your grace, a place where we can dwell, a sanctuary, where we can rest at the end of the day. We thank You, Lord, for the security of a place to raise our children, a place where we can close the door on the cares of this world, and fellowship with You, and one another. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard the things You have laid up for us, our wonderful Father! ©2011

Examine Yourself

“If we would EXAMINE OURSELVES, we would not come under judgment….” (1Corinthians 11:31 CJB, emphasis mine)

If we are open and honest with ourselves, we KNOW when we have done something wrong. The Holy Spirit ‘convicts’ us of what is truth; that is one of the things that He gently does (see John 16:8,13 Amplified Bible). But it is OUR responsibility to test and examine OURselves; nowhere in the Word of God is there such a thing as a “Ministry of Critique”. We are to look at our OWN lives (no one else’s), hold them up and compare them to the standard that is found within the pages of the Word, the Torah. We are also to look closely at the life of Yeshua/Jesus, the LIVING Word, to be our example.

Do we find ourselves lacking in some areas? Has the Holy Spirit pointed out, through the Word, areas in our character and personality that need adjusting? Is our lifestyle not, perhaps, glorifying our God and King as much as it should? This is where we yield and surrender. As we submit …

Angels

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has set a multitude of angels around us to protect us, and keep us safe from all harm. We are very careful to not engage in the worship of angels, for we know and recognize who and what they are, but we thank YOU, ABBA, for sending them to minister to us. We love and adore YOU, our ‘Adonai Elohim’, and we choose to walk according to Your Word, Your Torah. Because we do so, we know that You have given Your angels charge over us, to ‘keep’ us in all of our ways. Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

To Hear Your Voice

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me.” (Proverbs 8:17 Amp)

"Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps asking receives; he who keeps seeking finds; and to him who keeps knocking, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8 CJB)

It is a fairly common saying among the Spirit-filled community that the Father “knows how to get our attention when He needs to”, a saying that I have been guilty of using myself. Unfortunately, this is really a form of arrogance, and certainly a sign of laziness and complacency in our relationship with the one who created us. According to the opening verses above, it is OUR responsibility to seek our Lord, to seek HIS wisdom, HIS fellowship, HIS direction and guidance, and even HIS daily instructions. We seek Him out because we love Him, because He is our ALL in all, not out of obligation, or because He i…

Family

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who sets us in our OWN family, a blessing all by itself. We learn from those that have gone before us, and we strive to teach those that are coming after us, to show them YOUR way in which to walk. And we thank You for each member of our extended family, ABBA, for they all are special. We thank YOU, our Adonai, that as we lift them up to You, You watch over Your Word to perform it, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come in to the Shepherd’s fold. We worship You, Lord, for who You are, the "El Hanne'eman", the Faithful God! ©2011

To Cleave

“But ye that did CLEAVE unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.” (Deuteronomy 4:4 KJV, emphasis mine)

“But ye who ADHERED to the LORD your God, are alive every one of you this day.” (Deuteronomy 4:4 Webster’s Version, emphasis mine)

Memory foam is absolutely incredible! I remember purchasing my first memory foam pillow, and watching the indentation of my handprint, when I continuously pressed my open hand in different places on the pillow. How the foam would mold itself to the shape of my hand was a source of wonder to me, and still is. Amazing invention, this memory foam.

In a sense, WE are to be like ‘memory foam’, molding and shaping ourselves around the person of our God. The word translated in our opening verse into the word ‘cleave’ is related to the Hebrew word “dābaq” (Strong’s #H1692), which is the word found in Genesis 2:24, speaking of the ‘joining together’ (cleaving) of Adam and Eve. Just as Adam is to ‘cleave’ to his wife, in other words, be unit…

Fresh and New

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who rules and reigns eternally. Your kingdom begins in my heart, and extends to every corner of the universe that You have created for Your glory, which cannot be contained. To stand in Your ‘shekinah’, Your glorious presence, is not possible, yet You invite us to come boldly to Your throne of grace. Once there, we drink deeply of Your grace and mercy, the mercy that is fresh and new EVERY morning. How wondrous is Your dwelling place, Lord, and how exciting to be in Your presence! ©2011

The AMAZING Word

Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has given us the TORAH, the instructions and teachings of YOUR Word, that we can build our lives upon this foundation that has stood firm and strong through the test of time. Thank You Lord, for the ‘Ruach HaKodesh’, the HOLY Spirit of God, who opens WIDE the eyes of our understanding, teaching us, leading us, and revealing to the hidden things from Your amazing Word! We delight in Your Word, and we treasure it above all else! Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

Great Was The Fall

“And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell--and great and complete was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:27 Amp)

About a month ago, my husband and I suffered through a particularly severe storm which announced itself with loud, howling winds. One of our older cottonwood trees (it stood by the creek that runs through the bottom part of our property) was snapped off about 6 feet up from the ground, just like it was a tooth-pick. What was equally shocking to see was how rotten the inside of this tree was. Most of the main part of the trunk was hollow with rot, while the upper part of the tree limbs were still green and firm, covered with leaves, and the appearance of life and health.

My husband and I contemplated this tree for about a week, where it had fallen: half on one side of the creek, and the other half on the other side of the creek, with many, many branches trailing IN the creek. We praised the Father for the steep sides of th…

Peaceful Shabbat

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who joins us in resting on the day sanctified and set apart as the Sabbath. You delight in Your people as they willingly, joyfully, and in obedience, use this day to honor and sanctify their union with YOU, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the One is, who was, and the One who is to come, and is coming very, very soon. Our eyes are focused upon You, Lord, and we cleave to You, on this peaceful Shabbat that You have given to us. Shabbat Shalom to You, the “El Gibbor”, the Mighty God! Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

My Desire

“TAKE DELIGHT in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.” (Psalm 37: 4 NLT, emphasis mine)

People, just by being human, are by nature SELF-centered – focused on having MY needs met, MY wants fulfilled, MY desires catered to. Once we enter into our Father’s kingdom, the focus is completely opposite; WE (or ME) are no longer the center of attention or importance. It is no longer ‘all about ME’; it is now ‘ALL ABOUT HIM’. As we turn our eyes on HIM, and allow our Creator and God to become the desire of our life and heart, then taking care of OUR desires becomes important to HIM.

This word ‘delight’ translated from the original Hebrew, is the word ‘ậnag’ (aw-NAG, Strong’s #H6026), and included in the meaning is the essence of being soft and pliable, delicate and dainty of habit. So not only are we to take exquisite delight and great pleasure in our Father God, we are also to be happy and merry as we remain pliable, moldable, easily shaped and bent on the Potter’s Wheel (…

Strong Tower

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who is my place of refuge in times of distress. You are my High Tower, my fortified city, my shelter from the storm, my Deliverer and Savior. When chaos threatens to overwhelm me, as a flash flood during a torrential downpour, You are the “Sar Shalom”, the Prince of Peace, who brings order to all of the chaos and distress. I would rather dwell in YOUR house, my Adonai, than anywhere else imaginable … Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

Maturity

“Therefore YOU SHALL BE PERFECT, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48 NKJV, emphasis mine)

The word translated as ‘perfect’ in the above verse (the final verse of Matthew chapter 5) is from the Greek word “teleios” (TEL-eye-oss, Strong’s #G5046), and refers to that which has reached an end, it is finished, complete, perfect. When applied to people, it signifies a total soundness, and includes the idea of being whole and mature. Therefore, if we apply this principle to our lives in the sense of taking the total, all of the ‘MEAT’ , of Matthew chapter 5, it should, in truth, ‘complete’ us, and step us up to the place of ‘maturity’.

We are now accountable. We can no longer afford to act like young, spoiled children, throwing ‘temper-tantrums’ when we do not get our own way. As the Apostle Paul said, we know in what hour of history we stand (Romans 13:11), and we do not have time to play trivial games with our Father God. We need to clothe ourselves with the Lord…

Unique

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has created each one of us individually, differently, uniquely, and completely original in our own way. You have filled and anointed each one of us with our own unique blend of talents and giftings, and then placed us as You wished. I am neither carpenter, nor law enforcement officer, but I admire and respect those that are. I cannot perform delicate surgery on the human eye, neither can I make heads or tails of a complicated blue-print of a modern, multi-story building, but I rest in the place that YOU, ABBA, have chosen for me to walk in. I acknowledge and recognize that ALL wisdom and knowledge has its source and foundation in You, Lord, for it is Your wisdom that laid the foundation of all that we know! You are the “El De’ot”, the God of ALL knowledge, and worthy of ALL honor, praise, and glory! ©2011

Your Enemies

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, LOVE your enemies, BLESS those who curse you, DO GOOD to those who hate you, and PRAY for those who spitefully use you and persecute you …” (Matthew 5:43-44 NKJV, emphasis mine)

Love is not JUST a feeling; it is also a choice that we make. We CHOOSE, by an act of our own will, whether or not we will walk in love toward a particular individual, and we CHOOSE and decide when we will no longer do so. However, our will is no longer our own, if we claim that we have been bought and paid for by the blood of our Savior, Jesus our Messiah (1Corinthians 6:20). We no longer have the option of getting even with those that have done us wrong, that have hurt our feelings, or walked all over us. WE are to be the example of the love that hung on the cross for all mankind, because our Father is not willing that any should perish, but that ALL would come to repentance, and the knowledge of the …

Yes and No

“Just let your 'Yes' be a simple 'Yes,' and your 'No' a simple 'No'; anything more than this HAS ITS ORIGIN IN EVIL.” (Matthew 5:37 CJB, emphasis mine)

When called upon in a court of law to give testimony, we are required, by law, to ‘solemnly swear, that what we are about to say is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth’. For many years, this oath was taken while placing your hand upon the Word of God, the Bible, which most people recognized as being the Word of Truth.

Noah Webster defines ‘swear’ as “to affirm or utter a solemn declaration, with an appeal to God for the truth of what is affirmed; to promise upon oath; to give evidence on oath; as, to swear to the truth of a statement” (American Dictionary of the English Language, Noah Webster, 1828). In situations such as a legal issue, we understand where ‘oath taking’ is necessary to protect the innocent, and there are laws to insure that those who bear false witness are severely p…

Renewed

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who gives rest to the weary heart and wounded soul. Tenderly, Lord, You gather us up into the sanctuary of Your embrace, and as we listen to the strong beating of Your Father’s heart, we know the security of a safe haven. Here, in the quiet of the night, You apply the healing Balm of Gilead. As we venture forth once again in the brightness of a new day, we know and understand that our strength has been renewed like the eagle’s. We WILL run and not grow weary; we WILL walk and not faint, for You have taught us to wait upon You, our Strength and our Redeemer. Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

Offended

“If therefore thou shalt bring thy oblation {offering} to the altar, and shalt there remember that thy brother hath ANY OFFENCE AGAINST THEE, leave there thy oblation {offering} before the altar, and GO FIRST AND BE RECONCILED WITH THY BROTHER; and then come and present thy oblation {offering}.” (Matthew 5:23-24 James Murdock New Testament, emphasis and inserts mine)

“Woe to the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh!” (Matthew 18:7 Webster’s Bible)

The Greek word that has been translated ‘offence’ is the word ‘skandalon’ (skan’-dal-on, Strong’s #G4625), and it is the root to OUR words ‘scandal’ and ‘scandalize’. The meaning to this word paints a picture of a trap, or snare, hidden in a type of ambush, such as a pit covered by limbs or tree branches. ‘Skandalon’ will generally refer to the conduct of the person who is ambushed, or trapped. Our Lord told us emphatically that ‘offenses’ would come; HOWEVER,…

EVERYthing

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who fills my lungs with YOUR breath every morning, who gives light to my eyes as they open to the day, and anoints my ears to hear the sounds of the world. ABBA Father, I am very aware that without You, there is no life, no life worth living, and I choose to give thanks for all of the simple, yet necessary things that I tend to take for granted. The air that I breathe, the light from my window, the soft carpet when my feet hit the floor, even the alarm clock that notifies me another day’s routine is beginning – all of these ultimately come from Your hand. I give thanks, my Adonai, for every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of all Light, that Father of all LIFE, who never changes. Hallelu-YAH! ©2011

True Righteousness

“But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!” (Matthew 5:20 NLT)

Unfortunately, there are still legalistic Pharisees in the world today, just as there were in the time of our Lord. They would like us to pray certain ways, dress certain ways, attend church only on certain days, sing only the songs picked out by the appointed song leader (that was appointed to the position 40 years ago), never moving from established tradition, for that would be SIN. And who are you to think that the Lord has called YOU to a ministry; you are a ‘woman’! God only talks to MEN! Emphasis is placed on the ‘appearance’ of religion, an outward display, and approval from the population.

However, ‘true righteousness’ begins in the heart; it is an inward attitude toward God reflected in a holy, righteous life. Love and obedience to God (and His Torah, His Word) are of the utmost imp…

Paths of Righteousness

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who takes me by the hand, and leads me in the paths of righteousness for YOUR name’s sake. These are paths of truth and holiness, of consecration and commitment, and though I may not understand every turn in the road, I KNOW that You are there with me. You, my Adonai, go before me to prepare the way, and You are my faithful rear guard, watching over me, and guiding every step that I take. May this walk I am on bring You praise, honor and glory, in Yeshua’s Name! ©2011

A Light in Darkness

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” (Matthew 5:15-16 NKJV)

The sun is the principal source of light in our universe, and the Word of God tells us that the sun was created by God Himself (Genesis 1:14-19). With the discovery of fire, mankind learned how to keep the darkness at bay, and those things that the darkness could hide were no longer as fearful.

God Himself is Light (John 8:12), and there is no darkness IN Him, for there is nothing in Him that needs to be concealed. When we enter into covenant relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, ask Him to come into our heart and life by the power of the Holy Spirit, we need to remember that the Holy Spirit is also the Spirit of Truth, from whom NOTHING is concealed or hidden. For those of us who “hunger and thirst after righteousness”, He will act as a ‘window clea…

LIGHT

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has given us LIGHT.You have given us the light that is YOURSELF, the light of Your Word, the lamp to our feet and the light to our path. You spoke Your Word, and there was light in the heavens, to divide the day from the night, and You saw that it was good.We thank You, Father, and we rejoice in YOUR light!©2011

Seasoned

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”(Matthew 5:13 NLT)
Salt in the Middle East is in plentiful supply, and found in different forms. The Dead Sea, in Israel, has one of the highest percentages of salt of any body of water on the face of this earth, and is more than 1300 feet below sea level.Much of the salt taken from the area surrounding the Dead Sea is not just ‘pure’ salt, and has other minerals mixed in with it.When exposed to certain purifying elements, the outer ‘layers’, or crusts, would lose their ‘saltiness’, and need to be cut off. This would expose the inner ‘layers’, the pure salt, which would be used for ‘seasoning’ and preserving. The outer ‘layers’ were most often used as a road base in the time of our Lord, so yes, the worthless salt was trampled underfoot.
Salt is a symbol of God’s covenant (see Numbers 18:19), and the covenant of salt is an …

Drink

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who thunders Your majesty from the heavens, and lights up the sky with Your brilliance. You give us rain in its due season, and we are thankful for each drop of water we receive on the thirsty ground. You give us spiritual rain for our thirsty souls, to feed us, renew us, refresh us, and re-fill us as we continue in our journey with You.We drink, ABBA, we drink from YOUR cup, and savor each and every drop of the heavenly dew.How sweet is the taste!©2011

Persection

“God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.  Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.”(Matthew 5:10-12 NLT)
When I looked up the word ‘persecute’ in Noah Webster’s Dictionary, I was surprised at the ugliness of the word.It means:“to pursue in a manner to injure, vex or afflict; to harass with unjust punishment or penalties for supposed offenses; TO INFLICT PAIN FROM HATRED OR MALIGNITY; to afflict, harass OR DESTROY for adherence to a particular creed or system of religious principles, or to a mode of worship” {(American Dictionary of the English Language, Noah Webster, 1828) emphasis mine}.Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the United States of America was founded on the principles of…
